The situation is out of control- everywhere I turn.
Aggravation has taken it's toll. All I see is crash and burn.
But the question remains- will it stay the same, or can we make a change?
Now this has happened many times before- how soon we forget.

I woke up and I went outside because I saw it was a sunny day.
I didn't have a penny to my name, but still I went out anyway.
Caught a train that was goin' downtown as thoughts raced through my mind.
I almost missed my stop, as I was deep in thought, but I stepped out just in time.
I went to a place just a few blocks away where everybody knows my name
There stood the girl that could take my world and crush it up like it was just a tin can.
But what can you do? It was sad but true- she was busy with another man.
